I wanted to write a list of our favourite things to do when visiting Donegal to help you plan your next trip to the wonderful county.
Where to stay in Inishowen?
Castle Inn Apartments - We have been staying here for years. We visited once a few years ago on a collaboration trip and ever since then we have returned a few times a year by booking online. Perfect for families, with an amazing view and the perfect base for exploring the Inishowen Peninsula.

Walking Alpacas looking over Malin Head and the Atlantic Ocean on The Wild Aplaca Way
Find out about our history at Doagh Famine Village
A dip at Stroove Beach
Visit the Muff Liquor Visitor Centre and sample one of the amazing cocktails while learning about the reasons why Russell Crowe, Ed Sheerhan and other celebrities have invested in the brand.
A walk along the coast from Greencastle to Moville to see all the little fairy houses.
Visit Fort Dunree - experience the military museum and go on an adventure on the walking trails around the Fort.
Scenic drive to the amazing Kinnego Bay - don't forget your swimsuit.
Explore Ireland's north coast on The Amazing Grace Yacht Charters.
Visit Buncrana and enjoy the playpark and beautiful Swan Park.
